The new Vaughn Ion Pro Goalie Catch Glove will continue to use the 60-degree break that was used in the SLR4 glove.  This has been a popular option at the Pro and College levels. With the 60-degree break, the Ion glove has a very open pancake design which takes up more usable net coverage. The Ion pro catch glove also comes much more broken in than years past without sacrificing protection.  The Ion Pro glove comes with an extra layer of protection in the palm yet opens and closes with ease off the shelf. This is also a true heat moldable glove, so a little heat goes a long way to breaking in these gloves. Do not use boiling water to break this glove in.

The T-pocket of the catch pocket has also been reinforced compared to past models. A double layer reinforced perimeter combined with the reinforced T-pocket helps this glove retain its shape over time.

The catching pocket of the Ion glove has added depth to help with pop outs from the glove.

Everything on the inside of the Ion glove has been set up to be completely adjustable.  This allows for each goalie to personalize the glove fit to their particular feel for the glove.

Vaughn has a flared wrist design and also moved the wrist strap closer to the goalie’s hand.  This will allow for more wrist mobility particularly with holding the glove upright in the goalie’s stance.  This also allows for more wrist mobility when stick handling.
