CCM Tacks XR 90 Senior Goalie Skates
When the pace picks up in the crease, the CCM TACKS XR90 senior goalie skates are ready to keep you sharp, stable, and in control.
The high-mid level skate is the best-selling skate category at Goalies Plus. It provides a lot of the comfort and support of the high-pro level skate at a reasonable price. Many goalies actually prefer this mid-level skate as it allows for a little more ankle flexion since the boot is not quite as stiff. The XR Pro level will have longer overall durability, but the XR 90 skates perform at an extremely high level with outstanding comfort right out of the box. It comes down to how many times a week you play. If you are an everyday player, the XR Pro is probably the way to go (unless you are still growing, then the XR 90 may be a better alternative). If you are the 3 to 5 day a week player, you can’t go wrong with the XR 90.
CCM will continue to use a 10F27 profile which will create this range of movement. The 10F27 will also provide a more aggressive, forward leaning position for the goalie. This will put the goalie to be on the balls of their feet and create a more natural aggressive stance.
