Bauer provides young goalies two great options at the intermediate size level.  The SV-Pro for the goalie competing at a higher level and the GSX for the beginner to intermediate level goalie.  The Bauer GSX intermediate pad is a great entry level junior pad that provides more options than other recreational level junior goalie gear.  Coming in at an extremely light 3.3 pounds per pad (based on a size medium), the GSX makes goalie movement easier for a developing goalie.  The flex profile is soft with is best for beginner goalies who need the most mobility possible.

The Bauer GSX goalie leg pads have some of the features of the higher ends pads such as the Stabiliflex knee. The Stabilflex knee is designed to prevent pad over-rotation; it delivers a superior butterfly seal and immediate energy transfer upon dropping to the ice. This also provides more flexibility for a young goalie which is extremely important as it allows for greater ease of movement.  The GSX also uses the Tune Fit 2 system which can be adjusted to a tight fit or loose fit depending on the goalie’s preferences.
