Bauer S20 Supreme Ultrasonic Senior Goalie Skates
The Ultrasonic Goal Skate is for the elite goalie.We focused in on 3 key areas – best weight, best attack angle,and best energy transfer. We’ve been able to shave weight by continuing to use a Curv composite quarter and by adding AEROFOAM PRO ankle padding to provide great comfort with light weight features. A smaller profile asymmetrical toe cap gives us the best attack angle on the market. And for energy transfer we’re utilizing UNIBODY TECHNOLOGY for better pushes out of the butterfly. With the debut of Ultrasonic skates, we’re introducing a new depth and fit.This added depth to the ankle provides better out-of-the-box fit and added stability.It comes in senior and intermediate and will have the new Supreme depth and wrap of 151 millimeters.
At Goalies Plus, we have noticed a big difference from the previous Supreme 2s to the new Ultrasonic goal skate. The first thing you will notice is the Ultrasonic fits wider then the previous generations of Supreme goalie skates. This had been an issue for many customers as the Supreme goalie skates were too narrow. Some goalies are prone to have their feet swell while playing and having a narrow boot made this very painful. The new Ultrasonic boot is definitely wider the and overall better fitting goalie skate. The new 40 oz. pro felt tongue is also a huge improvement. The flex forward in the new Ultrasonic is much more natural and with greater flexibility compared to the 2s Pro. The arerofoam ankle padding also seems to add a greater amount of ankle flexibility without compromising support. Overall we feel like the improvements to the Ultrasonic goalie skate line will add a performance and comfort factor that has been an issue in years past.
Another key piece of information about the 2020 Bauer Supreme goalie skate line is the new sizing format. Senior sizes will now start at size 7. In the past, sizing went: Junior 1 – 5.5 and Senior 6 -12. Starting in 2020, Bauer skate sizing will be: Junior 1 – 3.5, Intermediate 4 – 6.5 and Senior 7 – 12.
