Brian’s Optik X4 Pro Intermediate Goalie Leg Pads – Special Edition
The new Brians Optik X4 Pro goalie leg pads are designed for a high-level goalie that wants an elite level quality out of their gear. Building off the success of the previous Brians Optik pads, the Optik X4 leg pads utilize the OptiSlide inner edge which is layered with Brian’s Primo material. Known for its durability, strength and super-fast sliding surface – the Primo material is extremely popular. Not only is their Primo material found underneath, but you’ll find it on the top edge, inner thigh rise, boot strap pocket and lower calf wrap.
The Brian’s Optik X4 is the offshore pro version of the Optik 4. This pad has a lot of pre-mold curve to the pad which makes it a good option for a goalie with a medium width butterfly. The shin of the pad had been reinforced which gives it explosive rebounds off the face of the pad.
New for 2024 is a new calf strapping system. The redesigned calf strap now has three adjustment settings so a goalie can truly customize their fit. The calf area can easily be adjusted for a tight fit or a loose fit depending on the goalie’s preference.
A popular feature that is caried down from the Optik 4 is the MAX core option. The Max Core for a goalie who like the pre-mold shape of the Flex Core but wants the stiffness of the FLY Core. Each core comes with a flexible boot which has become the industry norm since is allows for easier recovery regardless of the goalie’s style.
The Optik X4 comes with the smart strap bungee toe tie. This is an easy attachment system that simply Velcro’s together. For goalies who prefer a skate lace toe tie, it can be substituted very easily on the Optik X4 pad.

Brian’s Optik X4 Pro Intermediate Goalie Catch Glove – Special Edition
New for 2024 is the Brian’s Optik X4 intermediate goalie catch glove. The break of the Optik X4 glove has a 40-degree closure. The internals of the Optik X4 pro catch glove has been redesigned for better closure. The Optik X4 uses a traditional nylon wrist strap which is surrounded by a large floating pad, this allows the goalie to lock down the glove with comfort. Across the back of the hand is another locking strap which is surrounded with a large, padded air-knit material. The finger stalls also utilize an air-knit material for durability and comfort. The catching surface has a huge single t pocket with a deep thumb angle makes catching the puck very easy on this glove.
Brian’s also did a great job of designing the glove to cover pucks along the ice with minimal gaps. Many gloves create big gaps when trying to seal glove to the ice while covering the puck. This allows the puck to move out of the glove and create dangerous and unnecessary scoring chances. Brian’s built this glove in a way that eliminates these gaps and keeps the puck covered.

Brian’s Optik X4 Pro Intermediate Goalie Blocker – Special Edition
New for 2024 is the Brian’s Optik X4 Pro goalie blocker. The Brians Optik 4 Goalie Blocker features a large high density blocking board with a beveled nose which helps a goalie’s main stance and provide better seal to the ice when paddle down.
The Optik X4 blocker is the offshore pro version of the domestic Optik 4 pro blocker. The Optik X4 uses a traditional wrist strapping system versus the quick dial on the Optik 4 (and to be honest, most people prefer the traditional strapping compared to the quick dial).
The X4 has an extra wide cuff opening which allows the goalies chest protector to integrate seamlessly with this blocker. The thumb area of the X4 has a removable pillow which provides extra protection but can also be removed at the goalie’s preference. The palm on this blocker has a reinforced palm that is both durable and comfortable.
