Based on the tremendous success of the Vaughn 9500 Chest Protector, Goalies Plus has brought back the 9500 goalie pant. With many NHL goalies going back to the 9500 pant because of the lightweight design, size presentation and flexibility, this is sure to be a top seller at Goalies Plus.
The 9500 comes in at a very lightweight 4.3 pounds (based on a size medium). Most high-end pro level pants weigh around 4.7 to 5.2 pounds. A goalie can really feel the extra weight on a goalie pant so having something a bit lighter but still at an NHL level is very beneficial.
The 9500 goalie pant presents very large and has a barrel style fit. However, even with the size, this pant moves very well which is why many NHL goalies still use this pant. There are no extra unnecessary bells and whistles, this pant has what it needs to be an elite pro level pant and nothing more – which is a main reason the pant is flexible. The specs of this pant are NHL specs, there is no inner belt, and all logos are black on black.
