Vaughn Velocity 7 XR Pro Goalie Leg Pads
New for 2016 is the Vaughn Velocity 7 XR Pro Goalie Leg Pads. There may be a little confusion between the Velocity 7 Pro Carbon Leg Pads and the Velocity 7 Pro Leg Pads. The XR Pro Carbon Pad is the domestic pro version and the XR Pro is the off-shore version. These pads are almost identical in every aspect except the country of origin.
The Velocity XR pad is built for the goalie who likes to play big and maximize coverage in the butterfly technique. The XR pad is a pro option in a mid-level price range. New features on the XR Pro pad that allow this pad to play a “butterfly” style include; flat face design, one break in vertical roll, stiff thigh rise, multiple location for top strapping & flatter angled foot scoop. Vaughn also widened the knee cradle to accommodate the larger knee and thigh guards that some goalies choose to wear. The Vaughn XR Pro Pad can also be custom ordered in any color combination available to the domestic pro Velocity pad.
